چکیده

In this paper, we discuss the induced saturation number. It is a nice generalization of the saturation number that will allow us to consider induced subgraphs. We define the induced saturation number, indsat(n,H), to be the fewest number of gray edges in a trigraph T such that H does not appear in any realization of T , but if a black or white edge of T is flipped to gray then there exists a realization of T with H as an induced subgraph. We will provide some general results and prove that for a path on four vertices, indsat(n,P4) = ⌈n+1 3 ⌉ for n ≥ 4. We will also discuss the injective coloring number and a generalization of that.

Graphs with Induced-Saturation Number Zero

Given graphs G and H, G is H-saturated if H is not a subgraph of G, but for all e / ∈ E(G), H appears as a subgraph of G + e. While for every n > |V (H)|, there exists an n-vertex graph that is H-saturated, the same does not hold for induced subgraphs. That is, there exist graphs H and values of n > |V (H)|, for which every n-vertex graph G either contains H as an induced subgraph, or there exi...

On the saturation number of graphs

Let $G=(V,E)$ be a simple connected graph. A matching $M$ in a graph $G$ is a collection of edges of $G$ such that no two edges from $M$ share a vertex. A matching $M$ is maximal if it cannot be extended to a larger matching in $G$. The cardinality of any smallest maximal matching in $G$ is the saturation number of $G$ and is denoted by $s(G)$. In this paper we study the saturation numbe...

The relationship between the arterial oxygen saturation and the cardiovascular response to induced anoxemia in normal young adults.

AT THE present time the most widely used method of studying the effect of induced anoxemia on the cardiovascular system consists of giving the subjects low oxygen gas (usually 10 per cent) inhalation for approximately twenty minutes and making observations during this period. In previous communications1'the variability of the degree of anoxemia, as measured by the blood arterial oxygen saturati...

Experimental and Numerical Pore Scale Study of Residual Gas Saturation in Water/Gas Imbibition Phenomena

Residual gas saturation is one of the most important parameter in determining recovery factor of water-drive gas reservoir. Visual observation of processes occurring at the pore level in micromodels can give an insight to fluid displacements at the larger scale and also help the interpretation of production performance at reservoir scale. In this study experimental tests in a glass micromod...

Prospective evaluation of haemoglobin oxygen saturation at rest and after exercise in paediatric sickle cell disease patients.

Low steady state haemoglobin oxygen saturation in patients with sickle cell anaemia has been associated with the degree of anaemia and haemolysis. How much pulmonary dysfunction contributes to low saturation is not clear. In a prospective study of children and adolescents with sickle cell disease aged 3-20 years at steady state and matched controls, 52% of 391 patients versus 24% of 63 controls...
